L'année 2011 sera définitivement vert/blanc/rouge en Italie !
Les 3 couleurs du drapeau italien seront en effet déclinées sous de nombreuses formes à l'occasion des célébrations du 150ème anniversaire de l'unification de l'Italie.
L'emblème de ce 150ème anniversaire (1861 > 2011 >>), composé à partir de 3 drapeaux italiens, figure sur les 2 premières séries de timbres émise en 2011 (le 7 janvier) par la poste italienne.
Ces 2 timbres (timbre autocollant + bloc-feuillet), non oblitérés, figurent sur la jolie lettre illustrée ci-dessous. Merci beaucoup Matteo :-)

The three colors of the Italian flag will indeed be declined in many forms at the occasion of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
The emblem of this 150th anniversary (1861 > 2011 >>), consisting of three flags of Italy, is included on the first two sets of stamps issued in 2011 (January 7th) by the Italian Post.

La poste italienne avait déjà anticipé cet anniversaire en émettant, en 2010, un bloc-feuillet consacré à l'expédition des Mille ("Spedizione dei Mille"), un épisode du Risorgimento italien datant de 1860, lorsque Giuseppe Garibaldi et un corps de volontaires débarquèrent dans le sud de l'Italie afin de conquérir le Royaume des Deux-Siciles alors dirigé par les Bourbons.Le Risorgimento fait référence à la période de l'histoire italienne de la 2ème moitié du 19ème siècle conclue par l'unification de la péninsule italienne après l'annexion de plusieurs territoires et provinces.
La proclamation du Royaume d'Italie aura ainsi lieu en 1861 (il prendra fin en 1946), à partir du royaume de Sardaigne, sous l'impulsion du roi Victor-Emmanuel II de Savoie, avec Turin comme 1ère capitale (remplacée par Florence en 1864 puis Rome en 1871).
La poste italienne consacrera, en 2011, de nombreux autres timbres à cette unification italienne, le prochain étant émis le 17 mars, 150 ans jour pour jour après le début du règne de Victor-Emmanuel II.
The Italian Post had already anticipated this anniversary by issuing, in 2010, a souvenir sheet devoted to the Expedition of the Thousand ("Spedizione dei Mille"), an episode of the Italian Risorgimento dating from 1860, when Giuseppe Garibaldi and a volunteer corps landed in southern Italy to conquer the Kingdom of Two Sicilies then ruled by the Bourbons.
The Risorgimento refers to the period of Italian history of the 2nd half of the 19th century concluded with the unification of the Italian peninsula after the annexation of several territories and provinces.
The proclamation of the Kingdom of Italy will thus take place in 1861 (until 1946), from the kingdom of Sardinia, under the leadership of King Victor Emmanuel II of Savoy, with Turin as first capital (replaced by Florence in 1864 and Rome in 1871).
The "Poste Italiane" will issued, in 2011, many other stamps devoted to this Italian unification, the next being issued on March 17, 150 years to the day after the beginning of the reign of Victor Emmanuel II.
