Expo "Alpe-Adria Phila 2011" en Croatie

"Alpe-Adria Phila 2011" Expo in Croatia

From 14 to 17 April 2011, the Croatian town of Opatija has organized an international philatelic exhibition entitled "Alpe-Adria Phila 2011", under the auspices of the FEPA (Federation of European Philatelic Associations).
The Croatian Post has issued, on April 14, 2011, a souvenir sheet devoted to this Expo. A special cancellation was also proposed to the public during these four days, including the logos of the Expo, of FEPA and of the Croatian Philatelic Federation (HFS).

It's this special postmark that was applied on the illustrated envelope above, with the logo of Alpe-Adria Phila to the left. Thank you very much Dragan :-)
The stamp (7.10 kn) is part of the very interesting set of four stamps, issued on March 15, 2010, devoted to Croatian ethnographic heritage, to fabric pieces in particular like the one depicted on this stamp, typical from the village of Draganić (region of Pokuplje).
To note that this letter has finally reached me despite the "FD" (meaning "wrong direction") mention, hand-written on this cover...

Dragan was kind enough to include in his letter the prepaid postcard above, issued on September 16, 2010, also devoted to this town of Opatija, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic" ("biser Jadrana" in Croatian) !
A symbol of the city, the "Maiden with the seagull" by sculptor Zvonko Car (installed in 1956 in front of the sea), is featured on the card's illustration to the left.
