Restoration of the "Casa de la Vall" in Andorra

Merci beaucoup Olivier :-)
The House of the Valley ("Casa de la Vall" in Catalan) is the seat of legislative power in the Principality of Andorra.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the restoration of this historic building located in Andorra la Vella, the French Post in Andorra has issued on March 9, 2012, an interesting souvenir sheet containing two stamps (€ 0.60 each).
It's that sheet, printed with a mixed offset / intaglio process, that appears on the cover below mailed on June 12, 2012 from the Andorran capital.
Thank you very much Olivier :-)

These two stamps, designed by Stéphanie Ghinéa and engraved by Yves Beaujard, show a view of this House of the Valley in 1962 before its restoration (stamp on the left) as well as a current view of this building (stamp to the right).
This historic building is thus the headquarters of the General Council of the Valleys, the unicameral parliament (composed of 28 members) of the Principality of Andorra.
Built in the late 16th century, this fortified House was acquired in 1702 by the "Council of the Earth", the assembly formed from 1419 by representatives of the people of the valleys of Andorra (have a look to the stamp issued in 2011 devoted to that topic).
It houses several interesting rooms (Council Chamber, the "Tribunal de Corts" court room, St. Ermengol Chapel) as well as historical objects and documents related to the history of the country (the closet of the seven key, the Manual Digest, Politar Andorra...).
We can also see on the stamp above to the right the sculpture "La Dansa" by artist Francesc Viladomat from Andorra.
