Mihai Eminescu in painting in Moldova - FDC

130 years ago (in 1883), Romanian Mihai Eminescu published one of his greatest poems, "Luceafărul" ("The Evening Star"), now considered as a masterpiece and one of the longest love poems ever written in the world.
To celebrate the 130th anniversary of the publication of "Luceafărul", the Post of Moldova has issued on January 15th 2013, a nice set of two stamps (design : Simion Zamşa) devoted to Mihai Eminescu, in particular to representations of the poet through paintings.

I was lucky enough to receive the two official FDC above and below, with FDC postmarks from Chisinau, regarding these two stamps issued each in sheet of 8 stamps + 1 coupon. Thank you very much Sergio :-)
The stamp above (L 5.75) is devoted to the work "Dedicaţie" ("Dedication") executed in 1989 by the painter Vasile Naşcu, kept in the National Museum of Arts of Moldova.
Another painting, kept in the same Museum, is reproduced on the cover to the left : "Metamorphosis" (1989) by Ghenadie Tîciu.

The second stamp of this series (L 1.75) above is devoted to the painting "Mihai Eminescu" (1982) by Emil Childescu, kept in the National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova.
The romantic poet Mihai Eminescu (1850-1889) is considered today as the greatest and most representative Romanian poet, national poet in Romania but also in Moldova and for the Romanian minority in Ukraine.

Sergio has also used that same stamp, with its adjoining coupon devoted to the 130th anniversary of the publication of the poem "Luceafărul", on the other side of this FDC (print run : 400) designed by Vitalie Leca.
The other stamp (L 1) is part of a series of 4 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet, issued on April 8th 2010, devoted to different species of birds, to a couple of House sparrows (Passer domesticus) here.

Sergio was kind enough to also send me two postal stationery postcards respectively issued on April 18, 2011 and August 27, 2012, devoted to two sculptures of the Roman she-wolf located in Chisinau and Edinet.
The Roman she-wolf ("Lupoaica romană") is a symbol, sometimes controversial especially for Russian, of the Latinity of Moldova and neighboring Romania where many replicas of this statue are located in major cities.

This statue of the she-wolf, installed in front of the National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova in Chisinau, is shown on the pre-printed stamp (L 0.90) on this postcard (design : Alexandr Kornienko, print run : 2,000 ) above.
This she-wolf would have fed and protected the brothers Romulus and Remus who founded the city of Rome in 753 BC according to Roman mythology.

The second card above is depicting a sculpture of that same Roman she-wolf located in the city of Edinet (northwest of Moldova).
This postcard, also designed by Alexandr Kornienko, was printed at only 1,200 copies.
