A l'occasion de l'exposition philatélique internationale Philakorea organisée à Séoul du 7 au 12 août 2014, la poste coréenne a émis plusieurs séries de timbres et en particulier une série spéciale composée de 2 timbres, consacrée au chant traditionnel Arirang.
Ces 2 timbres (300 et 1930 won, tirage : 600000 chacun), émis le 7 août 2014, ont été imprimés dans un même feuillet composé de 16 timbres (8 de chaque).
Conçue par Roh Junghwa, cette série est très spéciale car elle a été imprimée (une première !) à partir du papier traditionnel coréen (hanji), fabriqué à la main à partir d'une pâte de mûrier à papier cultivé en Corée du Sud !
On the occasion of the International Philatelic Exhibition Philakorea held in Seoul from 7 to 12 August 2014, Korea Post has issued several sets of stamps and in particular a special series consisting of two stamps dedicated to the Korean folk song Arirang.
These two stamps (300 won and 1930 won, print run : 600.000 each), issued on August 7, 2014, have been printed in a single sheet containing 16 stamps (8 of each).
Designed by Roh Junghwa, this series is very special because it was printed (a first !) on the traditional hand made Korean paper (hanji), made from the inner bark of Paper Mulberry, a tree native to Korea !
Cette technique de fabrication du papier de mûrier créée en Chine au 2ème siècle avant JC a été introduite en Corée et au Japon à partir du 7ème siècle après JC. Ce papier doux et résistant est utilisé pour l'écriture, la peinture, les emballages et peut servir également de tissu.
Ces 2 timbres ont été utilisés sur les 2 lettres ci-dessus (timbre à 300 won en 2 exemplaires) et ci-dessous (timbre à 1930 won), envoyées le 9 août 2014 depuis cette exposition Philakorea. Merci beaucoup Ji-Ho :-)
"L'Arirang, chant lyrique traditionnel en République de Corée" a été inscrit en 2012 par l'UNESCO sur la liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'humanité.
This technique of making paper from Mulberry was created in China in the 2nd century BC and was introduced in Korea and Japan from the 7th century AD. This sweet and durable paper is used for writing, painting, packaging, and can also be used as tissue.
These two stamps were used on the two covers above (300 won stamp in 2 copies) and below (1930 won stamp), sent on August 9, 2014 from this exhibition Philakorea. Thank you very much Ji-Ho :-)
"Arirang, lyrical folk song in the Republic of Korea" was inscribed in 2012 by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Ce chant traditionnel populaire coréen Arirang est en fait le fruit de contributions collectives de coréens ordinaires au fil des générations.
Il s'agit essentiellement d'une simple chanson, composée du refrain "Arirang, arirang, arariyo" et de 2 simples couplets qui diffèrent d'une région à l'autre de la péninsule coréenne (nord et sud).
D'après l'UNESCO, "en abordant divers thèmes universels, cette simple composition musicale et littéraire invite à l'improvisation, l'imitation et au chant à l'unisson, ce qui facilite son acceptation au sein de différents genres musicaux".
Il existerait aujourd'hui environ 3600 variantes de chants traditionnels portant le titre "Arirang", universellement chantés et appréciés de la nation coréenne.
This traditional Korean folk song Arirang is actually the fruit of collective contributions made by ordinary Koreans throughout generations.
It is basically a simple song, composed of the refrain "Arirang, arirang, arariyo" and two simple verses differing from region to region of the Korean peninsula (north and south).
According to UNESCO, "While dealing with diverse universal themes, the simple musical and literary composition invites improvisation, imitation and singing in unison, encouraging its acceptance by different musical genres".
There may now be about 3,600 variations of traditional songs carrying the title "Arirang", universally sung and appreciated by the Korean nation.
