125 years of the death of poet Vasile Alecsandri - Special postmark in Moldova

On August 22, 1890, one of the greatest personalities of the Romanian identity and culture of the 19th century, Vasile Alecsandri (1821-1890), died in Mircești (in Romania today).
Vasile Alecsandri was a poet, playwright, theater director, folklorist, diplomat and politician, considered as the creator of Romanian theater and literature but also one of the principal animators of the union of the principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia (forming today a large part of Romania).
Alecsandri was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the young Romania and was the author of "Trăiască Regele" ("Long live the King"), the national anthem of monarchical Romania until 1947...

125 years (to the day) after the death of Vasile Alecsandri, the Post of Moldova has released, on August 22, 2015, a special postmark in Chișinău (MD-2012).
It is that cancellation which was applied on the prepaid postcard above (print run : 5,000), issued on October 23, 2002, being part of a series of 5 cards devoted to personalities whose busts are part of the famous "Alley of Classics of Romanian Literature" (28 busts devoted to political or literature personalities) located since 1957 in the Stephen the Great Park, in the center of Chişinău. Thank you very much Nicolae :-)
The bust of Vasile Alecsandri (by sculptor Lazăr Dubinovschi) is featured on this card to the left (to note the incorrect inscription of his date of birth : 1819 instead of 1821 !).
The pre-printed stamp (L 0.30) shows a portrait of Alecsandri as well as some of his works, including "salba literară" published in 1857.
Nicolae used one of the stamps of the series, issued on June 24, 2015, dedicated to one of the female national costume elements, the traditional blouse called "ie".

The same postmark was applied to the prepaid envelope above (print run : 100,000, design : V. Bogomaz), issued on May 16, 2007 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the National Theatre "Vasile Alecsandri" in Bălți.
The stamp (L 0.85) shows the facade of this building (became a National Theatre of Moldova in 1990) and its Soviet style (architect : Ianina Galperina from Moscow).
This cultural center, originally founded to be part of the process of Sovietization of Moldova, is today one of the main centers of culture in Moldova (nearly 200 plays presented to the public for 50 years).
