Ukraine-Moldova joint stamp set : Preservation of Dniester river's fauna

On September 6, 2007, the two postal administrations of Moldova and Ukraine have put into circulation an interesting joint series (2 stamps) dedicated to the preservation of wildlife living in the Dniester River ("Nistru" in Romanian), and in particular fish species.
This river, having its source in the western Ukraine, actually marks the border between these two countries, northeast of Moldova and on a small portion in the southeast, before flowing into the Black Sea. On the rest of Moldovan territory, this river marks the western border of Transnistria (bounded to the east by the Ukrainian border).
The two postal administrations have both issued these two stamps, separated by an illustrated label including this river on a map as well as the flags of the two countries, in a same sheet containing 10 stamps.

A big thank you Alexander for this nice illustrated envelope sent from the city of Krivoy Rog, franked with the Ukrainian version of this series :-)
To note that the central label issued by the Post of Moldova is slightly different, including a map on which the names of some cities located on the Dniester river are mentioned (at the time, the Post of Moldova apologized because some of the cities written in Ukrainian contained errors...).
The stamp on the right (designed by Ukrainian artist Ghennadii Cuzneţov) depicts a species of fish belonging to the Perch family (Zingel Zingel). This freshwater species, declining, lives only in the basins of the Danube, Prut (border with Romania) and Dniester rivers.
The other stamp (designed by Moldovan artist Elena Karacenţeva) features a Russian sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii), a species living in the Caspian Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
