"New Year's Greetings - Year of the Dog" stamps on FDC from Republic of Korea

On February 16, 2018 will begin the Year of the (Earth) Dog, the 11th sign of the zodiac, according to the Chinese lunar calendar.
On December 1, 2017, the Korean Post put into circulation a series of two stamps (330 won each) devoted to New Year's Greetings through an evocation of this upcoming Year of the Dog.
These two stamps (print run : 328,000, design : Shin Jae-yong) were printed by Cartor (France) in sheet of 16 stamps (8 of each) as well as in a souvenir sheet (print run : 110,000) consisting of two pairs of stamps.

These two stamps were used on the envelope above, with First Day cancellations (dated January 3, 2018) from Nambusan. Thank you very much Ji-Ho!
As last year for the Year of the Rooster, these two stamps are very spectacular with two different representations of dogs, including embossed silver parts or holographic foils.
2018 is therefore the Year of the Dog, the best friend of man, called especially in Korea the year of "Musul", "Mu" meaning yellow among the Yin-Yang and the five elements of the universe, and "Sul" meaning dog.

The souvenir sheet, with the same top left margin looking like a bone, was used to frank the letter above with this same cancellation from Nambusan dated December 26, 2017.
But why the stamps of this souvenir sheet were massacred with these traces of pen (applied in South Korea or France?) while the cancellation is well present in the center, too bad...
I really like the stamp representing these 5 different species of dogs on a pink background!
