"A multicultural and generous society" Postage Stamp Design Contest 2018 in Korea

Concours pour la conception de timbres 2018 "Une société multiculturelle et généreuse" en Corée du Sud

Après "Paix et sécurité" en 2016 et "Amour et bonheur" en 2017, le thème choisi par la poste coréenne pour la 23ème édition de son concours international de conception de timbres était intitulé cette année "Une société multiculturelle / Une société généreuse et attentionnée".
Les meilleurs dessins ("Grand Prix") dans les catégories "Général" et "Jeunesse", ont ainsi fait l'objet de cette nouvelle émission, le 22 février 2018, de 5 timbres (330 won, tirage : 126000 chacun) imprimés dans une même feuille composée de 15 timbres (3 de chaque), par Cartor Security Printing.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir les 3 jolis plis ci-dessous, avec TAD de Nambusan du 23 février 2018, affranchis avec ces différents timbres. Merci beaucoup Ji-Ho !
After "Peace and Safety" in 2016 and "Love and Happiness" in 2017, the theme chosen by the Korean Post for the 23rd edition of its international stamp design contest was entitled this year "A Multicultural Society / A Generous and Considerate Society".
The best drawings ("Grand Prize") in the "General" and "Youth" categories, were thus the subject of this new issue, on February 22, 2018, of 5 stamps (330 won, print run: 126,000 each) printed in the same sheet of 15 stamps (3 of each), by Cartor Security Printing.
I was lucky enough to receive the 3 beautiful covers below, with First Day cancellations from Nambusan dated February 23, 2018, franked with these different stamps. Thank you very much Ji-Ho!


Ce concours, organisé chaque année depuis 1991 par la poste coréenne, vise à promouvoir la culture postale (usage des lettres et des timbres) à travers des thématiques universelles comme la solidarité, l'entraide, la générosité...
Les 2 timbres ci-dessus (haut de feuille) reproduisent les dessins ayant remporté le Grand Prix dans la catégorie "Général", respectivement "Créons le monde ensemble" (par Kim Si-hyun) avec ces enfants de différentes nationalités, réunis pour former un arc-en-ciel, et "Une bicyclette par laquelle nous devenons un" (par Park Kyeong-jin) avec ces personnages (hommes, femmes, différentes origines) engagés ensemble dans la même direction sur ce tandem...

The two stamps above (top of sheet) reproduce the drawings that won the Grand Prize in the "General" category, respectively "Create the world together" (by Kim Si-hyun) with these children of different nationalities, united to form a rainbow, and "A bicycle through which we become one" (by Park Kyeong-jin) with these characters (men, women, different origins) engaged together in the same direction on this tandem ...


Les 3 autres timbres de cette série (ci-dessus et ci-dessous) reproduisent les dessins des lauréats des catégories "jeunesse", en particulier ci-dessus à gauche, le Grand Prix de la catégorie "premier cycle du secondaire" intitulé "De personne à personne" (par Hong Seo-jeong de l'école Maesan de Suncheon), montrant un enfant abritant un jeune garçon sous son parapluie jaune.
Le timbre ci-dessus à droite, Grand Prix de la catégorie "école secondaire" intitulé "Une flamme" (par Moon Seo-hyun de l'école de design de Séoul), symbolise une société diverse et multiculturelle avec ce feu d'artifice aux couleurs de différents drapeaux du monde (USA, Corée du sud, Chine, Japon, Royaume-Uni, France, Ghana).
The 3 other stamps of this series (above and below) reproduce the drawings of the winners of the "youth" categories, in particular above to the left, the Grand Prize of the "middle school" category entitled "From Person to Person" (by Hong Seo-jeong, Suncheon Maesan School), showing a child sheltering a young boy under his yellow umbrella.
The stamp above on the right, Grand Prize of the "high school" category entitled "One flame" (by Moon Seo-hyun, Seoul Design High School), symbolizes a diverse and multicultural society with this fireworks bearing the colors of different flags of the world (USA, South Korea, China, Japan, United Kingdom, France, Ghana).


Le 5ème timbre de cette série, en 2 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessus, reproduit le dessin ayant remporté le Grand Prix dans la catégorie "école élémentaire", intitulé "Joindre nos mains" (par Chan Wing Chi, de Chine), avec ces 4 personnages de différentes origines, se tenant par la main et riant, devant une colombe de la paix, entourés par de multiples cœurs.
The 5th stamp of this series, in 2 copies on the cover above, reproduces the drawing that won the Grand Prize in the "elementary school" category, entitled "Joint our hands" (by Chan Wing Chi, China), with these 4 characters from different origins, holding hands and laughing, in front of a dove of peace, surrounded by multiple hearts.
